I have always dreamed of....
swimmin' with the dolphins..
Thank God for Ocean Adventure Subic, my dream of close encounter with these mammals has finally been fulfilled. Since i was child i have always thought of being a mermaid and dancin all my way down to the shore.. swimmin' along and playin with the dolphins was part of my childhood dream. And now that i have actually seen one, played with one and had the chance to examine their body parts , it's a dream no more!
It will take you 2 hours and half to get to Subic. ( a close relative passed away but what the heck instead of cryin and mourning we've decided to make the most out of our Subic stay )Okay so. The travel from Manila to Subic might cost you less than a thousand for gas and lots of munchies on the road if you are the type of getting bored easily on road travelling, you know what i mean. A one night stay in Hotels along the Subic Boardwalk will cost you more or less than 4k a night, if you opt for some cozy hotel stay, that is. Grand Leisure Hotel ROCKS! ( where we stayed for 4 days )
Prices Below:
Solo P2500
Suite P2800
Family P3400
Restaurants are all over the place, Seafood at Seafood by the bay is my bet! Forget the diet! This Resto is awesome i could eat all day!
My most Fave Restos along Board walk:
Seafood by the Bay
Gerry's Grill
The next day we headed to Subic Adventure, entrance fee is P450/adult. But if your target here is for some Marine Close encounter here's the price list
Sea lion Photo shoot ( 1 free Wallet size photo ) P500
Whale encounter ( 1 free Wallet size Photo ) P3500,
additional 10 Photos saved on CD P500
Dolphin Encounter ( 1 Free Wallet size photo ) P2500
additional 10 photos saved on CD P500
( and because i wanted this encounter all my life, i grabbed the opportunity to capture everything on a CD )
Program for the day consists of Whale and Dolphin Show, Sea Lion Show. Tour inside the Aqua Marine world and Inside you could find the never-been-seen colorful fishes in their gigantic aquariums. And not to mention the enormous El Capitan Theater.
My half day stay at Ocean Adventure is so fulfilling i could forget about Manila at the instanticity!
Just before we call it a night, we've decided to have a swim since the Hotel's Swimming pool was tempting.
The next day we headed to Zoobic Safari, entrance fee P480/adult.
The tour guide will tour you ( what? ) around form the short walk to long walk animal encounter as they call it. But too bad for us that at that time some of their animals are so sick that they are in their respective nursing clinics because of the typhoon MILENYO. ( this is how destructive a typhoon could be ) Some of the animals escaped and can be found nowhere.. But nevertheless, my stay with Zoobic Safari is one hell of a time especially with the Close Tiger Encounter, wherein the tigers were chasing us like crazy while we were all in a closed jeep type vehicle. ( promise ive learned so much about animals from Joanna, the tour guide ). After the encounter, we had some fun with the reptiles! haha
